Marjolaine is a nurse in the Congo following a refugee emergency. This is her story.
Following fighting in DRC, many people crossed the river to the Congo, where they have neither food nor shelter. People’s health declines in these poor conditions. Marjolaine is part of a mobile team which goes from village to village: “One day, one village”. After spending 5 months on the mission, Marjolaine is already seeing the impact that their work is having. “In the word ‘humanitarian’, you have ‘human’: that says it all!”
