Eric is a psychiatric doctor working in the Saint-Louis Hospital in Haiti, following the earthquake which hit the country in 2010. This is his story.
Sufferers of psychological or mental disorders are often forgotten about in major humanitarian crises, which is why for Eric, coming to their aid is not only his professional purpose, but also his civic duty. “Psychiatrists should have a broad view of the full picture, and adapt their practices to provide the population with what they need.”
