This is Enrica’s story: she works in Rutshuru, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) as an obstetrician-gynaecologist (ob-gyn).
Enrica provides women’s health care, both physical and psychological. MSF provides all the necessary drugs and equipment that she needs to perform caesarean sections. There are between 300 and 400 births at the MSF centre in Rutshuru every month. She trains local medical personnel and ensures protocols are followed.
