For a new position, we are recruiting:

Regional Training Coordinator – Middle East MSF UAE Office (Dubai)

MSF is committed to investing in the career development and training of its staff in the Middle East in order to reinforce its operational capacity in the region and to increase the mobility and diversity of its teams globally.

MSF OCP (Operational Center Paris) is supporting this effort through the creation of a Field HR support unit within its MSF UAE Branch Office, based in Dubai. The Regional Training Coordinator will be part of this unit.

MSF UAE office hosts operational teams conducting operations in Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria and Yemen.

Mission :

Purpose of the Position:

The Middle East Training Coordinator is in charge of coordinating the training of staff in the region.

S/he contributes to the definition of the OCP training strategy and ensures its implementation in coherence with the regional strategic plan.

S/he coordinates the delivery of induction trainings for new recruits (international and national staff).

S/he promotes the broadening of the MSF training offer through the integration of external training opportunities and the development of remote, digital material and content.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

Under the responsibility of MSF UAE Head of Field HR and in direct link with OCP training unit in Paris:

Contribute to the definition and implementation of training activities

Help identify training needs of MSF teams in the Middle East in collaboration with operational HR managers and the ME career manager

Contribute to the creation of the training strategy and action plan

Develop trainings and provide educational support

Review and update the MSF training offer according to the training strategy proposed

Propose an appropriate methodology to reach the learning objectives of new training initiatives

Support and advise technical referents in the design of training sessions and tools

Coordinate the implementation of training plans and provide follow-up

Coordinate the delivery of training sessions in the region in collaboration with work area referents, operational HR officers, and career managers

Assess the quality of training sessions organized in the region and coordinate the reporting

Take part in budget preparation and follow-up related to training activities

Contribute to MSF global Learning and Development efforts

Take part in the design and development of the MSF training offer

In line with the L&D strategy, implement training procedures and guidelines for the region

Investigate external opportunities to improve the access of Middle East staff to training

Develop a network with institutions producing and delivering trainings in areas of interest for MSF

Research MOOC opportunities in specific fields: specialized disciplines, courses in Arabic

Help develop digital content in collaboration with operations and technical focal points to facilitate remote access to trainings in high demand

Position's specificities :

Position based in Dubai with frequent travels to Paris and MSF projects in the region (up to 40% of the time)

Professional skills :

Degree in Adult Education or other related field preferred

Experience in a training capacity in large, multicultural organizations is required
Experience with INGOs an asset

Fluent English required
Arabic preferred
French an asset
